An MB Racing TKM Taster Day is designed for experienced rental drivers who want to make that next step without immediately buying a kart, engine, tools, trailer and everything else that comes with owner-driver racing.
You'll drive genuine Formula TKM machinery while we take care of preparation, setup and trackside support.
Genuine Formula TKM
Drive a proper lightweight two-stroke race kart rather than a detuned experience or corporate kart.
MB Racing Support
We prepare the kart, look after it throughout the day and make adjustments as you settle in and get quicker.
Build Up Gradually
Get accustomed to the extra speed, braking and cornering performance with advice and feedback between sessions.

WHAT TO EXPECT.
We won't simply put you in the kart and send you out. The day is about getting comfortable with the machinery, building confidence and learning how a proper two-stroke kart responds.
THE DIFFERENCE
IT'S NOT JUST MORE SPEED.
A Formula TKM kart is lighter, more responsive and carries considerably more corner speed than a typical rental kart. The braking, grip and way the kart reacts to your inputs are all different — and everything happens faster.
These are genuine race karts, not specially detuned school karts. The aim is to let you experience the machinery properly while giving you the support to build up to it safely.
WHO IS IT FOR?
RENTAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
Taster Days are for drivers with good indoor or outdoor rental karting experience who are already comfortable driving safely around other karts on circuit. They are not intended as a first-ever karting experience.
Test days can include other drivers of different experience levels, so you need to be confident lapping predictably and safely.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
COME PREPARED.
Suitable karting safety equipment will be required. We'll confirm exactly what you need before your day, including helmet, racewear and rib protection.
Before buying equipment specifically for a Taster Day, speak to us. If you're considering moving into racing, we're happy to advise you on what is actually worth buying.
SHARING
WANT TO SHARE A KART?
It may be possible for two similar-sized drivers to share a kart, depending on the drivers and the format of the particular test day. Tell us when you enquire and we'll let you know what can be arranged.
AND AFTERWARDS?
NOTHING — UNLESS YOU WANT IT TO.
If you've scratched the itch and decide two-stroke karting isn't for you, you've still spent a day experiencing a proper race kart. But if you climb out thinking, “I need to do that again”, MB Racing can take you to the next step without you having to go away and buy your own kart.

Your next step can be a single MB Racing race weekend, where we provide the kart, mechanic, preparation, transport and race support. If you catch the bug, you can then look at joining us for a complete season.
